Scaling Up: The Business of Dentistry, is an excellent quick read that takes a deep dive into the daily lives of the dental professionals who dedicate their time, and knowledge to their career and their patients. DenTyme, the chairside dental practice application, allows the daily tasks of running a successful practice to come together and improve performance and facilitate a happy and healthy work environment. Personally, as a Registered Dental Hygienist working in private practice, I found the author accurately captured the environment of working with a multidisciplinary team. Ergus discussed the working relationships of a dental office, and the dynamic of rapport with co-workers and patients; this can make or break a practice. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in exploring the DenTyme application to increase the communication channels within their practice, and looking to improve their performance, personally and professionally.
